Our first dedicated retreat for women in their 50s and above has officially launched!
Check out all the details below.
Paris, Champagne,
& The Loire Valley
October 26th– November 1st, 2026
Amica Vina's first retreat for women in their 50s and above
Seven days across three of France's most beloved regions. The energy of Paris, the fizz of Champagne country, and the serenity of the Loire Valley.
You'll taste some of France's most respected wines, spend time in châteaux with centuries of history behind them, and share it all with a small group of like-minded women.
No wine expertise needed. No friend group required. Just a well-planned week that takes care of the details, so you don't have to.
Every guest has her own room as standard.
Founder’s Note
A little about how this came together, and what's next.
When I started Amica Vina, a 50s+ offering was always part of the vision; I just knew I needed to get the first retreats off the ground before adding on.
The current retreats are designed with millennial women in mind, and since launching, I've had a wonderful amount of interest from women in their 50s+ (many of you asking whether there's something for your age group).
At its heart, Amica Vina is about bringing together like-minded women, not just for a beautiful week away, but to form the kind of friendships that last beyond the trip. A dedicated 50s+ retreat feels like the natural next step in doing that well.
I’m thrilled to be launching the first 50s+ retreat in Paris, Champagne, and the Loire Valley. Thank you to everyone who expressed interest in this retreat before the launch.
If this specific retreat isn't the right fit, join the waitlist below to hear about future 50s+ retreats.
Cheers,
Samantha
Your Itinerary
Here’s a glimpse of what your seven days in Paris, Champagne, and the Loire Valley will look like on the 50s+ Retreat.
Day 1: Welcome to Paris
Drop your bags, pour a glass, and meet the women you'll be sharing this retreat with over welcome wines at our Paris hotel. Then we're out the door for a Champagne cruise along the Seine before sitting down together for our first dinner.
Day 2: Champagne
We take the train to Reims for a full day inside three celebrated Champagne houses (caves, tastings, and all the fizz you can handle). After the tastings enjoy some free time in Reims to wander and grab dinner before heading back to Paris.
Day 3: Paris Explorations
A day spent wandering Paris with exciting activities in the mix. In the morning we’ll attend a macaron workshop and before dinner, we’ll experience a guided wine tasting in a formerly royal-owned wine cellar. Ending the day with dinner together.
Day 4: To the Loire Valley
Take the train to the Loire Valley and land in one of France's most beautiful wine regions. A visit to Château de Chenonceau sets the tone before we settle into our hotel in Tours for an evening of food and wine.
Day 6: Loire Valley Wineries
Continue discovering the Loire Valley with a visit to 3 wineries, including a lunch at one of the domaines. In the evening, we’ll gather for our final dinner together in Tours
Day 5: Amboise
A morning winery visit before we spend the afternoon in Amboise for lunch and a visit to the famous Château Royal d'Amboise. This is a town that earns its charm without trying too hard.

Who is this 50s+ Wine Retreat for?
This retreat is designed for women who want more than just a vacation; they want an experience that blends discovery, connection, and a touch of indulgence.
You’ll love this trip if you are:
A woman in her 50s or beyond, or in her 40s and looking to connect with a slightly older, more settled group, rather than travel built around a younger crowd.
A solo traveller who wants a welcoming, well-organised group to explore with, without having to navigate the logistics alone.
A wine lover, whether that means a glass with dinner or genuine curiosity about the region, no expertise required.
Someone who'd rather spend a week talking, laughing, and getting to know new people than sightseeing on your own.
Interested in seeing France without rushing between checklist sights, with room to actually enjoy where you are, even if the days themselves are full.
Ready for a trip that gives you space to enjoy yourself, without needing to organise a single detail.

Meet Your Host:
Samantha
In my 20s, I lived in Canada, France, the UK, and Australia; always eager to meet new people and discover new places. I built a career in advertising and dedicated my free time to travel; chasing experiences and collecting stories, including solo trips and visiting beautiful vineyards around the world.
Over time, my curiosity about wine grew. So much so that I now hold a WSET Level 3 qualification.
Though I’m grateful to have lived in different countries, moving around highlighted how challenging it can be to make new friends as an adult (and how many women feel the same).
These things together inspired me to create Amica Vina: curated wine retreats where women can travel together, explore beautiful wine regions, and build genuine connections that go beyond a single trip.
When you join an Amica Vina retreat, the hard work is already done; you just get to soak up the scenery, enjoy sharing wine, and meet inspiring women who may become lifelong friends.
I can’t wait to welcome you to Amica Vina in Paris.
Discover The Champagne Wine Region
Champagne is one of France’s most iconic wine regions, defined by luxurious house labels, historic cellars, and a legacy of celebration. Located in northeastern France, just under two hours from Paris, the region is best known for its elegant sparkling wines.
Champagne is made primarily from three grapes: Chardonnay, which brings elegance and acidity; Pinot Noir, adding structure and depth; and Meunier, known for its fruit-forward character. Together, these varieties create the balance and precision that define Champagne.
Champagne offers a wine experience rooted in tradition, craftsmanship, and timeless celebration. A must-visit for anyone who loves (or is simply curious about) the world’s most famous sparkling wine.
And The Loire Valley Wine Region
The Loire Valley is a wine region known for its fairytale châteaux, river landscapes, and wide range of wine styles. Stretching along the Loire River southwest of Paris, the region produces everything from crisp whites and elegant reds to sparkling and sweet wines, making it one of the most varied wine regions in the country.
Key appellations include Vouvray, known for its expressive Chenin Blanc in dry, sparkling, and sweet styles; Chinon, where Cabernet Franc shines in fresh, aromatic reds; and Sancerre and Pouilly-Fumé, celebrated for their bright, mineral-driven Sauvignon Blanc wines. Further west, Muscadet (not to be mistaken with Muscat) produces light, saline whites made from Melon de Bourgogne, perfect with seafood.
