Paris, Champagne,

& The Loire Valley

May 10th–16th, 2027

A girl's trip you can join solo (or with your bestie).

Seven days across three of France's most beloved regions. The vibrance of Paris, the sparkle of Champagne, and the serenity of the Loire Valley.

No wine expertise needed. No friend group required. Just a well-curated week that handles the planning so you don't have to.

Your Itinerary

A glimpse of what your seven days in Paris, Champagne, & the Loire Valley will look like.

Day 1: Welcome to Paris

Drop your bags and meet the women you'll be sharing this retreat with over welcome wines at our central Parisian hotel near Le Marais. Then we're out the door for a Champagne cruise along the Seine before sitting down together for our first dinner.

Four glasses of champagne with bubbles, labeled 'Moet & Chandon Champagne', are arranged in a row. A person in a white shirt is in the background, slightly out of focus.

Day 2: Champagne

We take the train to Reims for a full day inside three celebrated Champagne houses (caves, tastings, and all the fizz you can handle). Following the wine tastings, we’ll have some free time to explore Reims.

Day 3: Paris Explorations

Enjoy the full day in Paris, starting with a perfume (or pastry) making workshop, following by free time to explore the city. Before dinner, we’ll experience a guided wine tasting that takes us through the regions of France. Ending the day with a dinner followed by a jazz bar night out.

Day 4: To the Loire Valley

Take the train to the Loire Valley and land in one of France's most beautiful wine regions. A visit to Château de Chenonceau sets the tone before we settle into the villa or hotel for an evening of food and wine.

A majestic castle with turrets and chimneys above stone walls, overlooking a river, with a well-manicured garden with paths and potted plants in the foreground, and many tourists exploring the grounds in the Loire Valley (Chateau d'Amboise)

Day 5: Vouvray & Amboise

Continue discovering the Loire Valley with a visit to 3 wineries around Vouvray, including a lunch at one of them. Following the wineries, we’ll visit the Château Royal d'Amboise and have some free time in the beautiful town of Amboise.

Day 6: Chinon & Bourgueil

A day exploring more of the Touraine region, this time in Chinon & Bourgueil, where we’ll visit 3 wineries with a picnic lunch at one of them. Then back for a final dinner to toast to our week together.

A white saucer with a white coffee cup filled with a frothy cappuccino, placed on a white tablecloth, with two croissants dusted with powdered sugar in the background on a white plate.

Day 7: Farewells

Share one last breakfast at the villa before taking the train back to Paris and saying goodbye (or rather, à bientôt) to your new friends.

Why Join Amica Vina?

Here’s what makes Amica Vina retreats special:

Meet Your Host:

Samantha

A woman in a navy blue top, white shorts, and white sneakers standing on a stone pathway at a marina, with white boats docked in the water and Mediterranean-style white buildings in the background.

In my 20s, I lived in Canada, France, the UK, and Australia; always eager to meet new people and discover new places. I built a career in advertising and dedicated my free time to travel; chasing experiences and collecting stories, including solo trips and visiting beautiful vineyards around the world.

Over time, my curiosity about wine grew. So much so that I now hold a WSET Level 3 qualification.

Though I’m grateful to have lived in different countries, moving around highlighted how challenging it can be to make new friends as an adult (and how many women feel the same).

These things together inspired me to create Amica Vina: curated wine retreats where women can travel together, explore beautiful wine regions, and build genuine connections that go beyond a single trip.

When you join an Amica Vina retreat, the hard work is already done; you just get to soak up the scenery, enjoy sharing wine, and meet inspiring women who may become lifelong friends.

I can’t wait to welcome you to Amica Vina in Paris.

  • I had the most amazing trip with Amina Vica in Paris, Champagne and the Loire Valley. Samantha is so welcoming and has every detail planned out so you don’t ever feel the need to worry about what to do, where to go or what’s next. I appreciate her knowledge of the regions, the wines and the people. I met some amazing women and got to sample delicious wines, I would have never tried otherwise. Come with an open mind, and prepare yourself for a great time. Looking forward to exploring a new region with Amina Vica in the future.

  • My weekend with Amica Vina in Kent was honestly superb from start to finish. Sam has this brilliant way of making everything feel effortless and welcoming — you can tell how much thought she puts into every detail. We arrived to a lovely gift bag full of personal touches, and from that moment it felt like we were being looked after. And when I say everything was included… literally everything other than the bottles we chose to buy at the vineyards. Food, transport, tastings, activities — all included. There was enough food and snacks to feed the 5000, so no one was ever left hungry or wondering what was next. One thing I really appreciated was that nobody expected you to be a wine connoisseur. You didn’t need to know anything beyond being open‑minded. I learnt loads just by listening and tasting, without ever feeling like I had to pretend to be an expert. It was relaxed, fun, and completely pressure‑free. The pub quiz was great fun (I’m saving my first‑place prize for a special occasion), but the real highlight was the group of girls and the atmosphere Sam created. Everyone gelled so quickly — by the end of day one it felt like we’d known each other for ages. It was relaxed, friendly, and full of laughs in that way you just can’t manufacture. I’m already looking forward to my next trip with Amica Vina because weekends like this are genuinely hard to beat. Thanks Sam!

  • I love the Kent wine weekend with Amica Vina. Everything was so well organised and thoughtfully paced, with fantastic wine and food, and lots of personal touches from Sam that made the weekend feel really special. It was also a great way to discover a part of the UK I hadn’t visited before and meet a lovely group of women. I’d definitely join another Amica Vina trip in the future!

  • Had such a lovely weekend with Amica Vina on their Kent Wine Experience! 🍷🍇 The whole weekend was so relaxed and well organised, and it was really nice getting to explore the vineyards, learn more about English wine and, of course, taste some amazing wines along the way! 🥂 Sam thought of everything from transport, to food to fun activities to get to know the other girls! Such a gorgeous experience and definitely something I’d recommend if you’re looking for a fun weekend out in the countryside. We had the best time! 🤍

  • I had the most amazing time on my Paris, Champagne & Loire Valley trip with Amica Vina! Samantha had everything perfectly planned, and it was so nice to not have to think about a thing. I just showed up and went along for the ride. This is such a great trip for wine lovers and full on wine nerds. Every day was specially curated for our group, with wine tastings at unique spots, a sprinkle of wine education, fantastic wines, and so many fun experiences woven in, from a jazz club night and private dinners to exploring chateaus and charming villages. The group of girls was also so wonderful. It was such a fun way to meet and spend time with other women who share the same love of wine and travel. Samantha is a fantastic host, and I can't wait for the next adventure with Amica Vina!

  • The October 2026 Paris trip with Amica Vina was truly a wonderful experience! From beginning to end, everything was organized, and Samatha did an amazing job making sure the details were taken care of. I appreciated how smoothly everything came together, allowing me to relax and really enjoy the experience. A favorite memories was our stop at Montdomain for a glorious lunch and wine tasting, a lovely highlight of the trip with recommendations for lunch in Amboise too. I came home with wonderful memories, new experiences, and a real appreciation for all the thought and care that went into making this trip so special. I would happily travel with Amica Vina again!

  • I had an amazing time. I can’t express how glad I am that I found your page and I took the chance which was actually really hard for me because I have never done something “solo” and I was worried about who I would meet, if we would get along etc. especially when it means a full week away with strangers. But I had such a positive feeling about your instagram and how you set up the details of the trip along with your prompt responses when I needed booking help. Also I loved that with my life being so busy that every detail was planned by you and I didn’t need to worry about the logistics. You are incredibly kind and easy going and made us feel relaxed and never rushed. The trip to Montromaine, Amboise and the Chateau were highlights for me because we weren’t just wine tasting in France but getting a more immersive experience. It definitely opened my eyes to something new even though I’ve been traveling for so long. I would definitely recommend your trips to others - I think it’s the perfect way for women to explore the world and get to know other women who have similar interests. Although I have my own future trips planned I would absolutely book again in the future.

Discover The Champagne Wine Region

Champagne is one of France’s most iconic wine regions, defined by luxurious house labels, historic cellars, and a legacy of celebration. Located in northeastern France, just under two hours from Paris, the region is best known for its elegant sparkling wines.

Champagne is made primarily from three grapes: Chardonnay, which brings elegance and acidity; Pinot Noir, adding structure and depth; and Meunier, known for its fruit-forward character. Together, these varieties create the balance and precision that define Champagne.

Champagne offers a wine experience rooted in tradition, craftsmanship, and timeless celebration. A must-visit for anyone who loves (or is simply curious about) the world’s most famous sparkling wine.

The Loire Valley is a wine region known for its fairytale châteaux, river landscapes, and wide range of wine styles. Stretching along the Loire River southwest of Paris, the region produces everything from crisp whites and elegant reds to sparkling and sweet wines, making it one of the most varied wine regions in the country.

Key appellations include Vouvray, known for its expressive Chenin Blanc in dry, sparkling, and sweet styles; Chinon, where Cabernet Franc shines in fresh, aromatic reds; and Sancerre and Pouilly-Fumé, celebrated for their bright, mineral-driven Sauvignon Blanc wines. Further west, Muscadet (not to be mistaken with Muscat) produces light, saline whites made from Melon de Bourgogne, perfect with seafood.
