We started Amica Vina to take women to the wine regions of France, but sometimes you just need a proper escape without the airport.
So we've brought the same idea home. A small group of women, the beautiful English countryside, wineries that will genuinely surprise you, good food all weekend, and absolutely no spreadsheets required on your part. We handle everything; you just get on the train.
These weekends are small groups, founder-hosted, and designed to feel like the best trip you've ever taken with people you'd never have met otherwise.
With weekends in both York and Kent, there's a good chance some of the women you meet will live closer to home than you'd expect (the kind of friends you can actually see again on a random Thursday).

Friday - Welcome dinner & wine tasting
Taxis will pick you up from the train station and take you to our Airbnb.
Friday night is about settling in and getting to know each other: welcome wine, snacks, a wine-tasting game, dinner together, and of course, bottles of wine to share with new friends.
Saturday Morning - Free time in York
Breakfast and free time to hang out at the Airbnb or go for a stroll in York.
Saturday Afternoon - Wineries!
Time for the wineries!
We’ll start the tour with a guided tasting at our first winery.
Next, we’ll head to our second winery for a tour and tasting, followed by lunch among the vines.
Saturday Evening - Dinner & games
Back to the Airbnb. A bit of downtime to decompress. Then dinner together and a fun pub quiz. Maybe even a movie to end the night.
Sunday Morning
A slower breakfast, reflections on the weekend, and a little thank-you gift from me.
Then, taxis back to the train station and a WhatsApp group of new friends that's already active.
The Itinerary for Kent
Friday - Welcome dinner & wine tasting

Breakfast and free time to hang out and slowly get ready for the winery visits ahead!
Saturday afternoon - Wineries!
We’ll start the tour with a guided tasting at our first winery.
Next, we’ll head to our second winery for a tour and tasting, followed by lunch among the vines.
After lunch, we’ll head to our third and final winery for another guided tasting.
Saturday Evening - Dinner & games

How to Secure Your Place
1. Book
By completing the online registration form.
2. Deposit
You’ll receive an email with next steps and a secure Stripe payment link to lock in your place by submitting a £150 deposit.
3. Confirm
Once we reach the min of 6 guests, you’ll receive email confirmation that the trip is guaranteed to run, and you can book your train!
Payment Information
Deposit
A £150 deposit (paid via Stripe) is required to secure your place.
Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable, unless Amica Vina cancels the retreat due to the minimum number of six confirmed guests per trip not being met.
Remaining Balance
The remaining balance (£400 for York or £485 for Kent) is due 30 days before the trip start date.
Important Travel Note
Please do not book non-refundable trains for your trip until:
You have received confirmation that your spot is secured, and
You have received confirmation that the retreat is guaranteed to run.

You don't need to know anyone. You don't need to know anything about wine. You just need to desire a weekend getaway of good food and wine, beautiful places, and meeting new friends along the way.

UK Wine Weekend FAQs

York weekends are £550 per person. Kent weekends are £635.
Both include everything listed above: accommodation, all meals, winery visits with tastings and lunch, all local transport within the weekend, the welcome evening, Saturday night activity, etc. Your train ticket is the only thing not included.

For York, simply take a train to York Train Station.
For Kent, take a train to Ashford International Train Station.

Each retreat hosts 6-8 guests; small enough to stay intimate, but big enough to build a vibrant group dynamic.

Our retreats are designed for women in their 20s, 30s, & 40s, creating a group of like-minded travellers at similar life stages.

Rooms are typically shared, but pending availability, private rooms may be available.

Before the retreat, we’ll send a short survey to help match guests with the most compatible roommates.

Yes, and most guests do. The whole weekend is designed so that coming solo feels completely natural. By the first night, you'll know everyone.

Absolutely! Make note of this on your forms when you individually register, so we can make sure you room together.

Yes! We’ll set up a WhatsApp group before the trip so everyone can connect ahead of time.

Not even a little. Amica Vina is specifically for women who enjoy wine without taking it seriously. You'll simply just taste good wine, figure out what you like, and have fun while doing it.

A non-refundable deposit of £150 secures your place. The balance is due 30 days before the trip start date.
All payments are made through Stripe, a secure payment platform.
